LUNARIS FLORA (1999-2001)
presented in 2002 by (t)here Limited Editions, Armory Show New York
Lunaris Flora explores the most beautiful exotic botanical gardens of the French Riviera in the South of France. Shabelewska photographed the gardens of Les Serres de la Madonne and The Val Rahmeh in Menton and Villa Les Cèdres in Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat resulting in a limited edition of 10 portfolios presented in March 2002 at The Armory Show in New York by (T)here limited editions. Lunaris Flora was published in (T)here Magazine, Issue 5 in 2001. The lunar images were accompanied by two texts written for this occasion by celebrated French writers Louis Nucera and Gilles Montelatici both natives of Menton.
The work received critical acclaim and reviews.
The original coffrets with the complete series of 9 printed silver gelatin prints was SOLD OUT at the 2002 Armory Show.
